I just tried compatibility mode for Win 7 on Win I'm also trying to install Quickbooks on Win 10 v Without compatibility mode it complained about Flash and failed. I set compatibility mode to Win 7 and then it complained about Internet Explorer 8, to enable it in the add remove programs or something. But all I can enable is IE So I think either way it just won't install in Win As for the last workaround, try install it on compatibility mode Win 8.

Opened and updated the 3 files in Then installed QB and opened and updated the 3 files. Then I restored from backup and updated the files into All went smoothly.
